An oral RET kinase inhibitor called pralisetinib, also known as Gavreto, is used to treat malignancies that have RET gene mutations. It is approved for advanced or metastatic RET-mutant medullary thyroid cancer (MTC) in patients 12 years of age and older, for metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with RET fusion, and for advanced RET fusion-positive thyroid cancer in patients 12 years of age and older who are not responding to radioactive iodine therapy.
